This is a lucky shot. I was actually aiming for the butterfly (Clouded Yellow) and the bee entered gracefully into the picture. The shot was taken at 1/1000s and barely see the wings.

Transalpina Glaciar Lake - EXPLORE
The Transalpina or DN67C located in the Parâng Mountains group, in the Southern Carpathians of Romania, is one of the most spectacular roads of the Carpathian Mountains. It connects Novaci, south of Parâng Mountains, to Sebeş in the north.
It is said that the road was built under King Carol II and rebuilt during World War II by German troops and it is called The King's Road by the locals. Also a story has it that Nicolae Ceauşescu had the Transfăgărăşan Road (DN7C) built during the communist regime just to surpass the Transalpina.
The road has its highest point at Urdele Pass, where the elevation is 2,145m above sea level. Given the high altitude, the road is closed during the cold months of the year. Works began in 2007 in order to transform this spectacular road into a modern highway (148 km), allowing a rapid transit between Oltenia and Transylvania.
Rânca, a newly developed resort, is located towards the south end of the Transalpina road.

Plitvice Waterfall 2
Plitvice Lakes National Park lies in the Plitvice plateau which is surrounded by three mountains part of the Dinaric Alps : Plješevica mountain (Gornja Plješevica peak 1,640 m) and the Mala Kapela mountain (Seliški Vrh peak at 1,280 m) and Medveđak (884 m).
The lakes are separated by natural dams of travertine, which is deposited by the action of moss, algae and bacteria. The encrusted plants and bacteria accumulate on top of each other, forming travertine barriers which grow at the rate of about 1 cm per year.

Prague Old Town Square
Old Town Square (Czech: Staroměstské náměstí )) is a historic square in the Old Town quarter of Prague in the Czech Republic at 50°5′14″N 14°25′17″ECoordinates: 50°5′14″N 14°25′17″E.
Located between Wenceslas Square and the Charles Bridge, Prague's Old Town Square is often bursting at the seams with tourists in the summer. Featuring various architectural styles including the gothic Týn Cathedral and baroque St. Nicholas Church, the square is an oasis for travelers wearied by Prague's narrow streets. Among many churches, tourists may find the Astronomical Clock on this square, while the tower at the Old Town Hall offers a panoramic view of Old Town shop.

February Sunny Day - EXPLORE
It's been a while since I've put a picture on Flickr. I don't know why but winter does not inspire me and makes me hate those short days. After many foggy days I had finally a chance to see the blue sky again. I'm waiting for the Spring.

Today I visited Timisoara Zoo. It is way behind any European Zoo but nevertheless they made some progress. The entry Fee is 3 Lei which is aproximately 80 eurocents.

The Timişoara Orthodox Cathedral (Catedrala Ortodoxă) is a Romanian Orthodox cathedral in Timişoara, Romania. It was built between 1936 and 1940. It is dedicated to the Three Holy Hierarchs, Saints Basil the Great, Gregory the Theologian, and John Chrysostom.

Catedral de Santa María la Real de la Almudena
Santa María la Real de La Almudena is a Catholic cathedral in Madrid.
When the capital of Spain was transferred from Toledo to Madrid in 1561, the seat of the Church in Spain remained in Toledo; so the new capital – unusually for a Catholic country – had no cathedral. Plans were discussed as early as the 16th century to build a cathedral in Madrid dedicated to the Virgin of Almudena, but construction did not begin until 1879.
Dumbravita Lake VOP
Dumbrăviţa is a commune in Timiş County, Romania. It is located near Timişoara, in the northern part.
The lake is quite beautiful in the sunset but the power grid is not exactly fitting in the landscape. Maybe you can still enjoy the vanishing point made by the poles.

I have edited the picture and removed the power lines which were crossing the view. It may not be perfect but it is less disturbing than leaving them in the picture. I hope you like the result. Any comments are welcomed.

Golden Mirror
Dumbrăviţa is a commune in Timiş County, Romania.
It is located near Timişoara, in the northern part. As result of the development of the city, many people from Timişoara have built homes in Dumbrăviţa, which has the tendency of becoming a neighborhood of Timişoara.
This image was taken on the lake that is very close to the village. Unfortunately the power lines are crossing over the lake so the landscape is not that wild :)

Ianovici is a lake surrounded by meadows and woods. Maximum depth is 3 m and the average is about 2 m. The bottom water is very mudy. (en)
